The original house was built in 1956, and as was common in that era, had no dedicated outdoor living area or relationship with the garden. The client desired a staged approach, allowing the overall scheme to be achieved in affordable blocks. Stage one involved an extension comprising of a new kitchen and deck, and external works including all new landscaping and a pool. This new connection between inside and outside has made the house very liveable for a young family for the time being.
