2014 Newmarket

A sloping site with wonderful views informed the layout and design of this new house. With a modernist aesthetic and a specific brief, the house was designed to open out to the landscape, gardens and views, with direct connection to the ground from two of the three levels. The use of painted timber, brick, polished concrete and clear finished timber gives the house context in the traditional neighbourhood without compromising the modern aesthetic.
